Program Overview
This innovative hybrid symposium is designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians, cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, hospitalists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and certified diabetes educators who care for patients with heart failure and/or chronic kidney disease.
Learning Objectives
After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:
- Utilize relevant guidelines, clinical evidence, and FDA-approved indications to effectively incorporate SGLT2 inhibitors in the treatment of heart failure and/or chronic kidney disease
- Develop and implement timely diagnosis and treatment strategies for patients diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD)
- Demonstrate effective collaboration and communication skills when working with endocrinologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, and primary care physicians to provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care for those with comorbidities affecting the cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic systems
